About the Role
Maintain hygiene of cutlery, cutlery racks, and garnishing areas. Ensure cutlery is spotless, dry, and neatly arranged.
Prepare and check pre-packed food items (e.g., raita, salad) required for daily orders.
Monitor for food spills in and around the dining area; promptly clean and restore presentation for the best customer experience.
Take customer orders, explain the menu, and suggest available dishes or specialties of the day.
Communicate orders to the kitchen, indicating the correct sequence (e.g., soups, starters, main courses).
Inform chefs about any customer requests and highlight new or special items to guests.
Clean customer areas, including tables and chairs, and return used cutlery to the washing area.
Upsell and cross-sell dishes by recommending items that match customer preferences. Suggest beverages, water, or welcome drinks proactively.
Handle customer payments at the counter (Kassa). Ask if a printed bill (bon) is required and consult the manager regarding applicable offers or discounts.
Greet customers warmly upon arrival, thank them for their visit, and escort them to the exit door if needed.
Ensure the dining environment is spotless, including tables, chairs, under-table areas, salt/pepper shakers, tissue holders, entrance doors, and entryways.
Monitor and report inventory levels of drinks, packaging materials, cutlery, disposables, restroom consumables, cleaning agents, and wipes in a timely manner.
